The goal of many businesses is to get the best possible product to market, economically, with optimum function and reliability. To accomplish this, we need to get the product right - the first time.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is the primary design tool to analyse the product under the real life conditions that a product would be subjected to. FEA uses the 3D solid model and once loads and forces are applied, it will predict the stress and deflection of the part. It is then up to the engineer to analyse these results and should the part fail, determine a way in which to achieve acceptable results by altering the design.

FEA has allowed us to reduce the time spent on physical prototypes and reduce the time spent on empirical testing. Design analysis allows us to test our designs as we work, simulating multiple 'what if' scenarios.

FEA covers areas such as:

  • stress analysis
  • mechanical analysis
  • plastic flow analysis
  • drop test analysis
  • dynamics analysis
  • fluid dynamics analysis
  • impact analysis

In the end, we have a excellent design solution, confident that it will perform beyond expectation.
