3D solid modelling has become an essential tool in every design project. Utilising the latest solid technology, our designers create virtual models of concepts, enabling enhanced refinement, understanding and visualisation of the design. Our designers use this 3D model to scrutinise, analyse & improve the design in a totally interactive modelling environment.

In the early stages of the project a model can be roughed out quickly to achieve the right look or intent. When more details become available, it is possible to go back and constrain the model by dimensioning. Dimensions can be updated at any time, from either the 3D model stage or detail drawing stage. Any dimension changed in the drawing will be reflected in the 3D model, and vice versa. Those small changes that a client requests are now a relatively quick and simple task.

Before any tool steel is cut, we can be assured that the 3D design is exactly what we will get. Before using 3d Solid modelling, we sent 2D drawings to manufacturing. It would then be left to the tool maker to interpret the drawings and build a model from that. This process proved to be inefficient and time-consuming.

The solid model has become the basis for CNC machining of tools, production drawings, FEA simulation, rapid prototyping, and animated video presentations. Berry D&A can provide this 3D CAD data in all current formats, the most popular being STEP and IGES.

Affordable, quality Solid Modelling has been the greatest evolution for the product design process for both the designer and engineer, but more importantly the client.
